Lighthouse Journalism noticed a few pictures being shared widely on social networking websites. In the pictures one can see repair works going on and it is being claimed that with PM’s arrival the renovation process is going on at Cuttack government hospital.
We found out in our investigation that the pictures are from Morbi civil hospital from 2022.
Claim:
Twitter user Naveen N, who is a DMK member shared the viral pictures on Twitter.

Investigation:
We started our investigation by running a Google Reverse Image search on the viral images. On doing so we got a prompt that these images were from, ‘General Hospital, Morbi’.
On searching further we found a number of articles that carried the two images.
An article on Business Today said: Meanwhile, some of the workers engaged in the cleaning job told India Today that they were brought from Rajkot for overhaul ahead of the PM’s visit. New water coolers and hospital beds were also installed.
The article was updated on 1st November, 2022.
We found similar articles on other websites too.
We also found an article on India Today, where the Morbi hospital administration gave a comment over the same. The hospital said, “It is routine work and is taking place everywhere.”
All these articles suggested that the images were uploaded on 1st November, 2022.
