A video of a giant cake, shaped in the form of a castle was seen being shared on social media platforms. It was claimed along with the post that the biggest wedding cake was a part of the pre-wedding celebrations of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani in Jamnagar. However, the claim was found to be false. This cake was not cut during the pre-wedding festivities held for Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son.
Claim:
X user Abhishek Ranjan shared the video on his profile.

Investigation:
We started the investigation by running a reverse image search on the keyframes from the video.
We found the video uploaded on an Instagram page titled: spotlightalert.
The video was posted on the page in November 2023, before the pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar.
We also found a news report on the website of news18.com.
The Instagram page of unilad had posted the video of the cake along with the details of its architecture on October 30, 2023.
The video of the same was also uploaded on reddit.com on 4 June, 2023.
On one of the Facebook reels of the same video, a user pointed out that the wedding cake was from either Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan.
We also checked for reports about a wedding cake at the Ambani pre-wedding celebrations, however we could not find any news reports about the same.
Conclusion: Video of a giant cake shaped like a castle not from the pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Viral claim is false.
