Investigation:
There are two parts to this video, the first shows a flooded highway and another a flooded tunnel.
We started the investigation by uploading the video in the InVid tool and extracting several keyframes. We then ran a reverse image search on the keyframes.
During a reverse image search we found the video uploaded on YouTube channel Md Alamgir.
The video was uploaded on April 21, 2024.
We also found a keyframe from this viral video in a video shared on Instagram. The location mentioned on the video was Dubai.
We then looked up for the second half of the video that showed people wading through flood waters in a tunnel.
We found the second half of the video on a Facebook page named Baba Boota. The video was titled, ‘Dubai after rain’.
We also found a post by Ayodhya police who called the viral video misleading.
Conclusion: Video of Dubai flooding shared as that of floods in Ayodhya after the construction of the temple. Viral claims are misleading.
