We started by checking through Google keyword search whether there are any news reports about Denmark, a Scandinavian country passing any such legislation against Muslims.

Investigation:

We did not find any such news reports that mentioned legislation banning Muslims from voting in elections.

We then found some details on the website of the Denmark ministry.

The details mentioned: Any person who has attained the age of 18 years, is a national of Denmark and resident in the Kingdom is eligible to vote in a general election. People under guardianship who have been deprived of legal capacity, however, are ineligible to vote.

However, we did find a news report on dw.com titled: Denmark to strip IS fighters of citizenship

News report mentioned: Denmark’s parliament approved legislation on Thursday that allows people with dual citizenship who fought for the “Islamic State” (IS) group in Syria and Iraq to be stripped of their Danish nationality.

We found that the post also was widely circulated in 2020.

Conclusion: Denmark has not passed a legislation banning Muslims from voting in elections. Viral claims are false.
