Lighthouse Journalism found a video being shared widely on social media platforms. The video showed a biker being attacked by a tiger, after which the tiger drags the man into the forest.
There were several claims being shared with the video. Certain social media profiles claimed that the video was from a forest in Madhya Pradesh, whereas some users claimed it to be from Uttarakhand.
During the investigation, we found that the video was generated using an AI tool and no such incident took place.
Claim:
Instagram user, AWN News shared the video on the profile.

Other users are also sharing the video with similar claim.

Investigation:
We started the investigation by running a Google keyword search to check if any such incident did take place.
We did not find any credible media reports about the incident.
On observing the video carefully, we found several anomalies in the video, such as the number plate of the vehicle, the blurred figures of the man and the tiger.
This gave away that the video could be generated using Artificial Intelligence tools.

We then ran the video through HIVE Moderation and undetectable AI. Both the tools concluded that the video was AI generated.
Conclusion: Viral video featuring a tiger attack on a biker in India is AI-generated. The viral claim is fake.
