Lighthouse Journalism found a video being shared widely. In the video, a woman can be seen dancing in front of the policemen. It was being claimed that the woman danced right after she was granted bail, outside of the police station. The incident was claimed to be from Uttar Pradesh.
During the investigation, we found that the video was actually a scene from a movie. The viral claim is false.
Claim:
Instagram user Anokhelal Vishwakarma shared the video with the claim on his handle.
Other users are also sharing the same video with a similar claim on their social media profiles.
Investigation:
We checked the comment section of one of the posts. A user pointed out that the video was actually a scene from a movie.
While closely watching the video, we could see cameras. A reverse image search on the keyframes without the text led us to an Instagram reel by Rinkaj Yaduvanshi. He had shared the reel from the Instagram handle, ‘officialsushantsingh’.
We found the reel posted by Bollywood actor, ‘Sushant Singh’. The caption suggested that these were BTS (Behind the Scenes) from a movie, ‘Ek Chatur Naar’.
We also found details about the movie in an article.
Conclusion: Behind-the-scenes (BTS) moments from the shooting of the ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ movie are being shared as a recent and real incident of a woman dancing after the bail, from Uttar Pradesh. The viral claim is false.
