We found a short video uploaded on a YouTube channel, Rkp the loser. The user mentioned in the description that this video was from a film shoot.
We found the same video on the YouTube channel Kannada Picchar uploaded over two months ago.

We found more videos from the shooting of the movie on other YouTube channels.
According to kannada.news18.com, Deadly Soma is a movie made by director Ravi Srivatsa, and he is set to come with its sequel. Deadly Soma was originally released in 2005.
Conclusion: The visuals of shooting a scene from a Kannada movie are going viral as a real incident of police beating Instagram trolls. The viral claim is misleading.
