We started our investigation by uploading the video on the InVid tool and getting several keyframes. We then ran a reverse image search on the images one by one.

Through reverse image search we found an Instagram reel, which was posted on January 31. This indicated that the video was not recent from the farmer’s protest, since the protests began around February 13.

One comment on the video mentioned that the video was not from farmers’ protest.

Through the keyword search then, we found several news reports about the incident.

We found a report on English Jagran about the incident.

The report had a screenshot from the clash. It also mentioned: A mob attacked the president and members of a gurdwara management committee in Punjab’s Tarn Taran over the alleged “removal” of a poster featuring the late Sikh separatist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. The mob, armed with sticks and swords, wreaked havoc on the car of the president of the committee, leaving a police officer and members of the committee injured, police said on Monday. The news reports are over a month old.
