In this 14 second video Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen saying during a public address that BJP can never make a strong nation. During the investigation we found the video to be edited. He was instead talking about Congress.

Investigation:
We started our investigation by uploading the video in the InVid tool.
We found that the video was from PM Narendra Modi’s Rajasthan rally.
We found a news report on NDTV, titled: Congress can never make India strong: PM Modi in Rajasthan
A 10 minute 18 seconds video uploaded on NDTV was from Jalore, Rajasthan. At 1 minute 17 seconds, PM Modi says, ‘Congress can never make India strong’.
The report was carried by several other media organisations too.
We found the complete video of PM Narendra Modi’s Jalore address on the YouTube channel of Narendra Modi.
At around 17 minutes 55 seconds he is seen saying that Congress cannot make a strong nation.
Conclusion: Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not say BJP cannot make a strong nation, instead he said Congress cannot make strong India. Edited video goes viral.
