Lighthouse Journalism found a video of Congress leader and deputy chief minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar and president of Telugu Desam Party, N Chandrababu Naidu. It was claimed along with the video that DK Shivakumar is meeting N Chandrababu Naidu to help Rahul become Prime Minister. During the investigation we found the video to be old. This did not happen after the General Election results were declared.

Investigation:
We started the investigation by running a reverse image search on the keyframes obtained from the video.
Through one keyframe we found a news report on The New Indian Express, titled, ‘Naidu-DKS meet sparks speculation’.
The news report, published on 29 December, 2023 featured a screenshot from the video. The report mentioned, ‘The meeting of TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on the tarmac of Bengaluru airport on Thursday sparked fresh speculation on the possible change in political equations in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the 2024 Assembly elections.’

Video uploaded 5 months ago was titled: Chandrababu Naidu Meets DK Shivakumar At Bangalore Airport.
Conclusion: Old video of an impromptu meet between Congress’ DK Shivakumar and TDP’s N Chandrababu Naidu goes viral as recent. Viral claims are misleading.
