Lighthouse Journalism came across a video of Asaduddin Owaisi talking to the media. In the 12-second video, talking to the media AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi was seen saying, ‘We are hoping that Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time’. During the investigation we found the video to be edited, instead he had said that Narendra Modi doesn’t become the Prime Minister.

Claim:

X user Sachin Yadav Journalist shared the viral video on his profile.

Investigation:

We started our investigation by obtaining keyframes from the video. We then ran a reverse image search on the keyframes.

This led us to several videos of Asaduddin Owaisi’s interview.

According to the YouTube short uploaded by Times Now, AIMIM president said, ‘Hope PM Modi doesn’t get a third term’.

Video was also uploaded by India Today, nine days ago.

Several other news channels too had uploaded the video, where he was clearly seen saying, ‘Hope Narendra Modi doesn’t become PM for the third time’.

The video was also uploaded on X (formerly Twitter).

The video was also found to be posted by ANI Hindi on their official X handle.

Here too Asaduddin Owaisi was seen saying, ‘Hope Narendra Modi doesn’t get a third term as Prime Minister’.
