Lighthouse Journalism came across a video being widely shared on social media platforms. The video showed a few people celebrating and dancing along with the flag of BJP. It was claimed in the post that the video is from Balochistan in Pakistan, where people are celebrating the victory of Narendra Modi. During the investigation we found the claim to be false. The 2019 video is from Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir and not Pakistan.

Investigation:
We started the investigation by downloading the video and uploading it in the InVid tool to get the keyframes. We then ran a reverse image search on these keyframes.
While running reverse image search on several frames we came across a video on X handle of BJP Jammu & Kashmir.
The visuals in this video were similar to the viral video and the video was posted in the year 2019.
We also found a slogan being repeated in the video where people were heard shouting, ‘Sofi sahab kadam badhao’.
The tweet by the BJP handle also mentioned that the video shows supporters accompanying Sofi Yousuf.
BJP’s Sofi Yusuf too had shared the viral video on his X handle.
We found the visuals of a viral video posted on the YouTube channel of Kashmir News five years ago.
We also found a news report about Sofi Yousuf filing nomination in the year 2019 on the website of Asia News Network.
Conclusion: Old video of supporters accompanying Sofi Yousuf to file nomination in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir is being shared with false claims of people celebrating Narendra Modi win in Pakistan. Viral claim is false.
