A video of Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi was seen being widely shared on social media platforms.
In the video he is seen singing Shiv Tandav stotra during a public gathering. During investigation we found the video to be edited.
Claim:
X user MalathiReddy 2.0 shared the post and the video on his profile.

Investigation:
Using keyword search we tried to find if Asaduddin Owaisi had really sung the Shiv Tandav stotra, but we did not get any results about the same.
We then uploaded the video in the InVid tool and got various keyframes from the same. We ran a reverse image search on the keyframes one after the other.
Through reverse image search we found a video uploaded on the YouTube channel of AIMIM on October 27, 2022.
Here, Asaduddin Owaisi was dressed up in the same clothes seen in the widely shared video. We also found that the video was of better quality and people seen in the background were also the same as those seen in viral video.
There were similar such videos on the channel.
In this 18 minute long video too Asaduddin Owaisi was not seen singing Shiv Tandav stotra.
We also found a 6 minute long clip on News18 Urdu channel about the same.
The videos were from a public meeting in Bijapur, Karnataka.
Several videos of the public meeting are available on different platforms. But none of the video features Asaduddin Owaisi singing Shiv Tandav stotra.
The live broadcast was also available on the politician’s Facebook profile.
If we check the video being widely shared carefully, the facial expressions of the AIMIM leader look different, unnatural and so do the lip movements. Also it can be seen in the video that his eyes are closed for a longer period of time, this suggests that the video is edited.
Conclusion: The video of Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi where he is seen singing the Shiv Tandav stotra is edited. The video is morphed.
